The WGRA Board voted unanimously to fully renovate our pool facility rather than invest in temporary repairs. Here's why, where things stand, and what it means for members.

Following multiple permitting delays and an inspection by the state (DES), the WGRA Board determined that the existing pool required significant repairs and could not safely open in its condition at the time.
The board carefully considered making temporary repairs to open the pool for one final summer. Ultimately, we concluded that investing substantial time, money and volunteer effort into a facility that would soon be replaced was not the responsible path forward.
Instead, the board voted unanimously to proceed with the full renovation. While this meant a different summer for our community, it lets us focus our resources on building a modern facility that will serve Wellington Green families for decades to come.
We will continue to share updates as the project moves forward.
